At DCU we are delighted to announce that we have reached our target recruitment number of 60 participants! The final baseline testing session will take place on Monday November 27th. Also on Monday we will have had 21 participants complete their 3 month follow-up assessment.
Dr. Laurie McDermott presented at at the Health Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA Europe) conference in Zagreb Croatia. This was a 3 day conference bringing together European and International research surrounding exercise and areas such as clinical population. She presented an oral presentation on the development and design work that went into PATHway.
Lauri also presented the PATHway intervention overview to a group of 30 students from the Athlone Institute of Technology on the 21st November. These were 1st year Sport Science students attending DCU for the day to see the exercise rehabilitation programmes and hear about the ongoing research at the University.
DCU researcher, Haolin Wei, successfully defended his PhD thesis on the 3rd October. Congratulations to Haolin on his achievement.
